Galleries Lafayette

On Friday 3/30 I went to the fashion show at the Galleries Lafayette.  Galleries Lafayette is a very large department store.  But it does not look like any department store you've ever seen.  It looks more like a magic palace.  It is, in fact, a palace of fashion....

Here is the ceiling of the main area and the main, central atrium, showing all the floors rising up around it.

Can you imagine shopping there.....instead of Macy's.

The fashion show was great.  Of course, they did not let us take pictures.  The fashions, tho not couture designer dresses, were still fabulous,  extremely  fashionable and the models were everything you would expect to see in a Paris model.

Afterwards I went to the floor that had the real couture deign from the famous designers.  I managed to get a few shots, without being kicked out.....just some dirty looks.

                               I'll bet this looks dynamite on an actual body....with actual curves.

                                        Weird silhouette and proportion....don't you think?
